Four ways to wear it pink for Breast Cancer Now this October

News

Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink event is happening on 23 October 2020! That means you’ve got a great excuse to wear pink and do lots of fundraising at the same time.

Obviously, 2020’s fundraising efforts will be a bit different and it’s a lot harder to celebrate and wear pink with other people. That doesn’t mean you can’t make it memorable and raise lots of cash for breast cancer awareness and research though. This is how!

Get your colleagues involved (online or in-person!)

Wear it pink online or offline. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to be able to admire each other’s pink getup in person or if you’ll be on video calls all day, it’s a brilliant opportunity to fundraise and even encourage your pink-phobic colleagues to get involved. The more ridiculous, the better!

Sell some pink treats

Everyone loves a bake sale. Get your friends, family or colleagues involved with a socially distanced pink bake sale. You could sell to work colleagues, deliver door to door, or host a digital bake off competition.

Host an online Big Pink Quiz

If your appetite for quizzing is still there after lockdown, a Zoom quiz is a great way to raise funds and test your knowledge of all things pink. There are readymade pink quizzes on the Breast Cancer Now fundraising page.

Run in pink

Swap your usual running gear for pink laces, a pink top, or even a pink woolly hat if it’s a bit chilly outside. There might not be any official marathons or park runs to join, but you can still raise money on your own run for Breast Cancer Now.
